Most of my grandparent’s family members lost their lives during the holocaust. My grandfather, José Broide, was the sole survivor of his family. He was a Partisan, a resistance leader in the forests of Bransk, Poland, where he rescued and saved many lives. He wrote and told his story and taught me… Never Forget Never Again.
With the passing away of the survivors and eyewitnesses, it is now our turn to tell their stories and address the anti-semitism that continues to exist against the Jewish people.
Please help me keep my grandfather’s legacy alive by participating in my mitzvah project – Never Forget Never Again by donating your extra pennies. These will be displayed at the Holocaust Documentation and Education Center in Hollywood, Florida, as a tribute to all those whose lives were affected by the atrocities committed during the holocaust.
I will contribute a portion of my Bar Mitzvah monetary gifts to this project and look forward to presenting the HDEC with all the pennies collected on Yom Hashoah, April 11, 2010, so they may continue in their efforts of building the first South Florida holocaust Museum.
Thank you for your support of this project. DAVID |
